The countdown is on. In just one week, CAI advocates from across the country will gather on Sept. 24 in Washington, D.C., for the 2026 Congressional Advocacy Summit.

This members-only event gives community association board members and volunteers, community managers, and business partners an important opportunity to meet directly with members of Congress and their staff to discuss the federal issues impacting millions of Americans living and working in community associations.

That face time matters. These conversations help legislators better understand how federal decisions affect community associations and the residents, volunteers, managers, and professionals who support them every day.

To celebrate the advocates making the trip to Washington, D.C., and to help all CAI members engage from wherever they are, we’re launching CAI’s Advocacy Action Week. From now until Sept. 24, CAI will share content highlighting the members traveling to the summit, the issues advocates will discuss with Congress, and how our community can support federal advocacy efforts.

Whether you are attending the summit in person or cheering on CAI advocates from home, CAI’s Advocacy Action Week is a chance to show support and elevate the community association housing model. Every post shared, message amplified, and conversation started helps reinforce that CAI members are engaged, informed, and ready to work with lawmakers on solutions that support thriving communities.

How You Can Support CAI Advocacy

Most importantly, CAI’s Advocacy Action Week is a reminder that advocacy is strongest when CAI members show up together. For those traveling to Washington, D.C., the summit is an opportunity to have meaningful face time with legislators and demonstrate the value of balanced, practical policy solutions. For those supporting from home, sharing CAI’s messages and encouraging others to engage helps extend our impact far beyond Capitol Hill.

Together, we can support the advocates headed to Capitol Hill, elevate the issues that matter to our communities, and show lawmakers the strength of CAI’s nationwide advocacy network.
